Staying for a day or two

It's another dreary day. Most of the boats moved out so we moved up and plugged in. Heat! Today is the last day the locks under repair are open so from tonight no more boats will come eastbound. We will stay here until Tuesday and head on then. Docks should be plentiful as most will have moved beyond us.

That was lock 13; the one that has been the cause of so much angst.  They hope it will be in a state to open in 2 to 3 weeks to let the boats that draw more than 7 feet through!

Anyway, this is where we are.  So far it looks like they left the power on and went away for the season.


We are right alongside the railroad.  About 20 trains a day and night!


One more R&R day and back along the canal...
