I didn't mention that we barely slept Thursday night due to a wind that slapped the waves against the hull. We moved to the other side of the dock and settled in for some rest.
Belhaven is a pretty spot. Side-to slips down a stretch of grass that has been expertly manicured and planted.
Our friends arrived around mid day and went for a snooze:
We left our slip at 0730 this morning...

And now we are in Morehead City. We have used the marina's courtesy van and restocked the pantry. And we just had supper at Floyd's 1921 restaurant for the second time in three yeas. It was magic! Now we will have a glass of wine and do it all again tomorrow to Wrightsville Beach after a good night's sleep.
